DVT would be highly unlikely; also upper extremity DVT is rare in absence of any intravenous intervention or history of clotting disorder. Also, in absence of swelling of arm or redness of arm, DVT is not likely. Local cellulitis or an abscess formation is a possibility but in absence of redness and fever, it is not likely. I think it is just a local reaction to an injection. You can try Paracetamol or Ibuprofen 2-3 times a day; and application of ice bag at the site would help with pain as well.
